Our story · Vogue Salon & Med Spa
Meet Brandon and Darren, the husband-and-husband team behind Vogue in Selbyville and Millsboro, Delaware.
For Brandon, a love of hair began long before cosmetology school. Growing up, he watched his mother style hair and saw how a new look could change the way someone felt about themselves. It was the confidence, happiness, and connection that stayed with him.
The path to that dream wasn’t straightforward. But when he met Darren, he found someone who believed in it—and a partner who would help turn it into something they could build together.
Brandon knew early on that he wanted to help people feel good through hair. Life, work, and family expectations took him in other directions, and an early attempt at evening cosmetology classes had to be put on hold. But the dream of becoming a stylist—and one day owning a salon—never left.
Then he met Darren in Virginia.
As they got to know each other, Brandon discovered that Darren shared an appreciation for the craft, having worked as a barber during his time in the Navy. When Brandon told him about his dream, Darren believed in it. A career opportunity brought them to Delaware, where Darren supported their household while Brandon finally completed cosmetology school.
Brandon worked in salons in Rehoboth Beach and Fenwick Island, learning about both the artistry and the business. Helping physically build and establish a salon gave him something especially valuable: the confidence to create one of his own.
In 2015, Brandon and Darren spent the summer driving Uber to help fund their first salon. With those earnings, credit cards, and a willingness to put everything they had into their dream, they opened Vogue on 54 in Selbyville.
About a year later, an opportunity to expand into the space next door allowed them to add a nail spa. They opened the wall between the two spaces, bringing hair and nail care together and creating more room for their vision to grow.
In 2020, they opened Vogue on 24 Salon & Spa in Millsboro. Building a second location during the pandemic brought challenges they could never have anticipated, but they persevered with the support of their team and community. Around 2022, the business expanded into medical aesthetics, adding another dimension to the care Vogue could offer.
Today, those beginnings have grown into Vogue Salon & Med Spa, serving guests in Selbyville and Millsboro, Delaware.
Through every chapter, people have been at the heart of it: guests who have trusted Vogue year after year, team members who have grown their careers here, and a community that welcomed Brandon and Darren with open arms.
Outside Vogue, family is at the heart of their lives. Their boys bring joy, laughter, and meaning to the life they are building together.
What began as a move for a job became something much bigger: a place to build a business, raise a family, and belong.
“We came to Delaware with a dream. This community helped us build a life around it. We’re grateful for every guest, every team member, and every person who has been part of our story.”

The heart of our home
Behind Vogue is a family, a shared dream, and a life we’re grateful to build together.

The heart of Vogue
Our story began with the way a hair appointment could make someone feel. That same care shapes the experience we want to create across our salons and med spa today.
We believe a thoughtful experience starts with listening—understanding your goals, talking through your options, and helping you feel comfortable with your next step.
Our craft continues to evolve, and so do we. We value education, curiosity, and the opportunity to grow alongside the people who make Vogue what it is.
Delaware is where we built our business and raised our family. We’re grateful for the relationships that have grown here and the guests who make Vogue part of their lives.
